Denver Hooperz is a Non Profit 501(c)3 certified competitive basketball organization looking to give inner-city youth a knowledge base of academics, life skills and basketball fundamentals to take through school fully prepared and eager to be successful.
Mission
Hooperz mission is to get our players exposure to solid youth program that instills confidence and maturity. Denver Hooperz exposes all the players to competitive competition locally and nationally. DHYO is dedicated to using basketball as a vehicle for our Student/Athlete’s to learn life lessons, self confidence, responsibility and accountability.
Denver Hooperz was started in 2005 to give inner-city youth a better opportunity on becoming a great student-athlete. A lot of inner-city youth don’t realize the commitment, focus and determination it takes to be a great student-athlete. Denver Hooperz focuses on helping these youth become aware of their potential and how to become a productive citizen in their community.
Denver Hooperz is very proud it’s accomplishments in such a short time. All of the participants in the program must maintain at least a “C” average and maintain a strict “Code of Conduct” in their home, school and community.
Education and Mentorship
DHYO is proud to announce it’s partnership with Denver University for tutoring programs and mentorship workshops. This partnership will enable DHYO to help any of DHYO participants to get help with any areas of academics and life challenging events.
